2025: A Year That Stretched Us, Grew Us, and Filled Our Cups

If I’m being honest, 2025 didn’t look anything like I thought it would.

It was weird. It was heavy. It was beautiful. It was exhausting. And somehow, in the middle of all of that, it was still full of blessings.

Running Mocha Motion this year wasn’t just about coffee. It was about showing up on the days that felt easy—and on the days that didn’t. It was about loading the trailer before sunrise, laughing with strangers who became regulars, and watching little moments of community happen over something as simple as a latte.

We showed up—together

Some days were smooth and some were…well…espresso-on-the-shirt kind of days.

But you showed up:

in rain, wind, heat, and freezing mornings
at tournaments, weddings, markets, schools, and parking lots that turned into gathering places
with bedhead, mascara tears, business suits, and blankets wrapped around shoulders

And every time you pulled up to our window, you reminded us why we do this.

We don’t just serve coffee.

We serve tired moms, early-morning workers, student athletes, coaches, new grandparents, stressed-out teens, and people just trying to make it through another day. We get the privilege of being a tiny bright spot in your morning—and that never gets old.

The hard parts matter, too

This year stretched us behind the scenes.

There were:

events that didn’t go as planned
machines that broke at the worst possible times
long nights of planning, cleaning, and asking “can we really do all of this?”

There were also personal moments—moves, change, death, growing kids, and life happening faster than we could keep up with.

But growth rarely comes wrapped in comfort. It usually shows up disguised as “this is harder than I wanted.”

And still—we’re grateful.

Our favorite moments of 2025

When we look back, the highlight reel isn’t just big events. It’s the little things:

☕ The kid who ordered hot chocolate all summer

☕ The first-time customer who is now “the usual, please”

☕ The teams, teachers, and small businesses who trusted us with their events

☕ The early morning sunrises we got to witness while everyone else was still sleeping

Those are the things we’ll carry into the next year.

Looking ahead to 2026

We’re heading into a new year with:

lessons learned
stronger systems
new goals
and the same heart

More intentional events. More community. More chances to serve you well.

And yes—more really good coffee.
